Website Terms

The basics of using this site.

These terms cover the use of the ADOPTR.UK website and explain the ground rules around website content, enquiries and journey-related communications.

Last updated: 9 March 2026

Who these terms apply to

These terms apply to your use of the ADOPTR.UK website. The website is operated by ADOPTR LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16774516.

If a transport service is booked, additional journey-specific terms, confirmations or written agreements may also apply.

Website use

You may use this website only for lawful purposes and genuine business or customer enquiries.

  • do not misuse the site, interfere with it, or try to access it unlawfully
  • do not submit false, misleading or unsafe transport requests
  • do not copy or reuse website content in a misleading or commercial way without permission

Information on the website

We work to keep the information on this website accurate and current, but the site is provided for general information only.

Cross-border animal transport rules, import requirements and route conditions can change. Nothing on this website is a guarantee of border acceptance, route approval or service availability.

Journey enquiries and bookings

Sending an enquiry through this website does not create a contract and does not reserve a journey slot by itself.

A booking is only confirmed when we expressly accept it and any required details are in place.

We may decline, postpone or cancel a proposed journey where, for example:

  • paperwork or required tests are incomplete, inaccurate or late
  • the dog is not fit to travel or welfare concerns arise
  • route, border, timing or operational conditions make the trip unsafe or impractical
  • the requested service would put animals, staff or the business at unreasonable risk

Responsibilities of rescues and adopters

Rescue organisations, adopters and other booking contacts are responsible for providing accurate information, including identity details, addresses, contact information and paperwork status.

Where a journey depends on documents, tests, approvals or receiving-party requirements, those must be in place in time for travel. We may help review readiness, but we cannot replace the legal responsibilities of the people arranging the transfer.

Intellectual property

The website design, branding, text, images and other content on this site belong to ADOPTR LTD or are used with permission. You may not reproduce them for commercial use without prior written consent.

Links and third-party services

This website may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, security or policies of third-party websites.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or reliance on general website content alone.

Governing law

These website terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute relating to the website will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless mandatory consumer law says otherwise.
